Alright, it's done. Blogger as great as it is, will no longer be my host for blogging. I've decided that wordpress will do a better job. The Trekkie Within...

Yes, I am a trekkie. There is no point in denying it. But this is the latest trailer for the new movie being done by JJ Abrams. It's due out around Christmas this year. I'm excited!!!

Since this blog is dedicated to mainly Blackberry, and since my last post was about OS 4.5, I wanted to share my favourite OS 4.5 theme with you all. It's a great theme for people who like the Today+ themes. It's from Mothy @ BlueRoomSolution.

I like the layout and all, just not a huge fan of the background. I'm working on finding my own background or making one that looks much better. Keep posted for it!

At the same time, I want to share one of my favourite songs at the moment. While this blog is yes mainly dedicated to Blackberry's and alike, I will here and there toss in a personal side of things like fave songs and such. Enjoy!

OS 4.5 is coming!

It's official. AT&T down south will be releasing their version of OS 4.5 within the next couple of weeks. This means you'll get the ability to use Documents To Go to edit Word, Excel and Powerpoint Files. As well, you get to use all the new themes available through places like Pinstack, Crackberry.com and others. So it's definitely something to look forward to. I've been using it for about 2 months now and have loved it. Keep it locked here for updates!

Blackberry App Store? Kind of

Yes you read right. Blackberry has some sort of an App Store going on, however most programs are free. Check it out! Maybe will have something you'll want!

OS 4.5 Release

So while everyone in Canada patiently awaits the OFFICIAL Rogers release of OS 4.5, here's another release from Australia's Optus. It's updated (4.5.0.52) from the Vodafone release many of us are running (4.5.0.37). Check it out!

Blackberry Pointers

So as you may know, YouTube doesn't exactly like to work with the Blackberry browser. Many had thought that Rogers had something to do with this but it's not true. So if you're using the new OS 4.5 (which you'll need in order to view YouTube), here's the steps required to be able to actually view videos!

Go to 'Options', then 'Browswer configuration'
Enable the following:

• Support JavaScript
• Allow JavaScript popups
• Terminate slow running scripts
• Support HTML tables
• Support Embedded Media
• Support Style Sheets

then make sure you've selected 'On WML and HTML pages' for 'Show Images'
and then for Emulation Mode, select 'Microsoft IE'

And voila! It works!

Hey Everyone!

Hey all! So this is my first post up on the PhoneModo blog. So what can you expect from here? I'll do my best to keep you up to date with the latest mobile phone information and rumours. As well, any tips, tricks or inside info I can get to you, I will.

For all you crackberry users out there, much like myself, I will focus a lot on that device as I feel it's the greatest thing since, hmmm, take your pick; sliced bread or OS X...I think sliced bread takes this one narrowly.
